Xylotypographic #atozchallenge

In the English language, X has the fewest words that start with this letter. Why? I don’t have enough space to go into the etymology, but this guy does and did (click here).

Out of the few words available that don’t have something to do with Yellow, I chose Xylotypographic. Then I got to thinking and realized that this ancient printing method was also used in art.

I’ve included on of my favorite wood block paintings – The Great Wave.

Pens and pencils do not just create words on a page. Characters from typewriters and computers can be arranged to create complex forms and artwork. A beautiful duality exists in our mediums of communication.
