All of us failed to match our dreams of perfection. So, I rate us on the basis of our splendid failure to do the impossible. – William Faulkner
Blogging is one part persistence, one part subject matter, one part personality. Today I mark the 2 year anniversary of this endeavor.
When I chose to start this blog, I wasn’t looking to change the world. I was simply looking to document my journey to publication and beyond. My expectations have been exceeded. I have ‘met’ amazing writers and artists who are generous in their support.
My creative road has been littered with the carcasses of failed projects. These failures have not been a waste. Like the fine art of recycling, I have cannibalized these bits and pieces for other projects.
I feel as though I’m working 20 jigsaw puzzles at the same time with the pieces in one big pile. Yet, piece by piece all the pictures are coming to fruition.
In the end, making an effort should not be viewed as failure. Success is not allowing our perceived failures to stop us.
