#NaNoWriMo – Dithering

I’m sitting at my computer and dithering (not to be confused with dither, there is a distinct difference). Every time I think about my project, a 100 different things flood my mind to distract me.

Don’t get me wrong, sometimes distractions and flights of fancy can work in my favor.  BUT, it doesn’t mean I can avoid the actual ‘to do’s’ on my list.

Sometimes the dithering and waffling comes from the fear that I’m over thinking the project at hand. Other times, I just can’t get the thoughts out of my head.  Stress adds to my dithering.

Yes, Dithering is an art form that I embrace!

Dither on, my friends, Dither on!

  • I’m of the firm belief that all dithering is part of incubation. (This helps alleviate the stress from the process.)
