#NaNoWriMo Update

This has not been my month for pumping out the word count.  I’m writing and creating, HOWEVER, everything else has been interfering.

My list of things to do this month include:

  1. Nursing Quizz, my beloved poochie, back to health.
  2. Finishing this round of edits for my manuscript.
  3. Sending said manuscript to the 2 interested agents.
  4. Finish reading the Book Doctor’s book and make my 20 minute time slot with them.
  5. Come up with pies for Thanksgiving.
  6. Send three executives off to various parts of the world.
  7. Finish the short story I’m working on.
  8. AND, try to put together some significant word count for NaNoWriMo.

Now that I’ve listed everything out, I’m am currently rocking in a dark corner, sucking my thumb, wishing for the halcyon days when I was unencumbered by adult worries.  Then again, I wouldn’t be the writer I am today.

So, I just need to suck it up. Do as much as I can, making sure I am prioritizing correctly and let the chips fall where they may.

Can anyone spare a brain?  Mine just melted down.

  • I’d lend you mine, but its wandered off looking for a less demanding host. 😉

    • I’m wondering if all that brain matter wandering around it akin to dust bunnies? One day, it’ll be come one big mass, taking over the world.

  • Sounds like the time for a nice long nap, with extra fluffy socks, blankets, and pillows… and hot cocoa when you wake up… and lots of pretty flowers, too! You deserve the time off, and it will actually make you more productive if you take a break and forget The List for a few hours. 🙂

    • I’m working on the ‘just breathe’ part. 🙂
