Another Beginning

I have always viewed birthday’s as a new beginning.  One more year to begin. This is my true New Year’s Day.  A day where I take stock of everything.

Last year, I had a few simple goals:

  1. Have something published – Done – My short story ‘Day Seven‘ (page 51) was published in the indie literary magazine –e-Fiction Magazine.
  2. Have my manuscript completed (minus the tweaks from feedback) – Done – In the process of querying. I have some great prospects.
  3. Surround myself with other writers who will be supportive and I can support them in their endeavors.
Over all last year exceeded my expectations.  I can’t wait to see what this year brings.

  • That’s great! Happy birthday 🙂
It’s true that everyone has its own special new year’s day. Mine depends on the years. I know that every year on a particular day I’d feel that I’ve grown up… That’s why I tend not to celebrate my birthday because the day I really really feel myself change isn’t always on the date of my birthday.

    • Thanks! I find that my birthday is a good summary/reflection day. But I definitely celebrate the milestones as they come.

  • Happy Birthday! 🙂

I love how you look at your birthday not only as a celebration, but as a means to move forward.

    • Thanks! Celebrating a unmentionable anniversary of my 25 birthday, has given me perspective. 🙂
