#JulyWritingRomp – Day 26 – Now What?
So, you have a story you’ve shed tears over, perspired over and, finally, have it out of your head. Now what?
Well, my chick-a-dees, now the real work begins.
What you have is the skeletal structure of your story, your vision. Now you have to go back and edit, fill in story holes, strengthen characters and plot points. Then, you have to find your grammatical errors and correct them.
The average published novel is re-written until the author can’t stand it anymore. Once you’ve hit that point, then you rely on trusted friends who will tell you the truth about your story. Then you go through the story again.
Creating your story is an endeavor of epic proportions. If you stick to it, the end results are worth it.
