Zombies and the CDC

The Government is using Zombies to educate us!

That’s right folks, I said ZOMBIES.

This morning I ran across a posting on the CDC Public Health Matters Blog.  No, this isn’t a blog I trawl regularly but I had to stop and read.

The opening paragraph is enticing:

There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for. Take a zombie apocalypse for example. That’s right, I said z-o-m-b-i-e a-p-o-c-a-l-y-p-s-e. You may laugh now, but when it happens you’ll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency.

Boy, does this get the juices of the imagination going.  Zombies, emergency preparedness, the government?  Who knew all three could go together?

It’s my job as a writer to tie the unexpected together.  That is  what has made this blog post so delightful.

I can be prepared for anything now – including a zombie apocalypse.
